Compass Group UK & Ireland called in Leading Change to design and facilitate a 6 month change programme in their restructured Commercial Function to improve team performance by welding the team together, defining clear strategic direction and developing better relationships with sector customers.
The team was successful under previous management, but widely regarded as dysfunctional and had strained relationships with key business stakeholders. A lack of coherent strategy aligned to business sectors caused considerable tension within the Leadership Team and resulted in focus on short-term cost reduction targets which resulted in deterioration in standards and low morale.
Leading Change designed and implemented a team performance programme designed to address the fundamentals of effective teamwork and improve their effectiveness and behaviours. Our emphasis on developing clear strategic intent helped the team build confidence and commitment to deliver their intent through 5 critical strategic workstreams.
The foundation programme was rated High/Very High by 100% of participants.
The Commercial function is much more respected and valued within the business which increased their ability to deliver other key procurement change initiatives.
