WHO we are
Mark BouchManaging Director
Mark is an experienced and successful management consultant specialising in strategy development, deployment and delivery, or the business of ‘getting important things done’. He is passionate about helping organisations, teams and leaders to thrive in dynamic and complex environments. He has 35 years of experience combining Army operational leadership and strategic planning roles with a second career in consulting. As a consultant, he has designed and delivered high impact programmes bridging the gap between strategy and results in leading companies such as Pfizer, Diageo, Celgene, LVMH, AstraZeneca, Autotrader, Compass Group, Syneos Health and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1. Although he’s a strategic adviser Mark always remains an operator at heart, and likes to get his hands dirty developing and implementing pragmatic solutions to help organisations to succeed and grow. He is a keen skier, marathon canoeist with three Devizes to Westminster race completions to his name and he is Chairman of Trustees of a local canoe club.
Catharine SymingtonAssociate Director
Catharine is an experienced strategic advisor on major projects, familiar with planning and consent processes during construction and operational phases. She is a trained facilitator and team builder. She has strong analytical and communication skills and is driven to achieve success for clients. Her recent project work has focused on collaborative working initiatives, strategic stakeholder engagement, community liaison and facilitation of high level workshops on behalf of a range of clients developing major infrastructure projects. She has also provided strategic advice and management of bids for tendering consortia and briefing public sector organizations on partnering and alliancing arrangements.
Sean RichesPrincipal Consultant
Sean helps individuals and teams to establish and embed new, more effective behaviours. He has nearly 20 years commercial experience; spent in front line change management roles in financial services, logistics and civil aviation. Sean believes that individuals and teams often have their own solutions but sometimes need help to uncover them, implement and embed them. Since moving into consultancy, Sean has worked for global organisations including Unilever, Oracle and Paramount Films, facilitating programmes with delegates from over 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is a genuine international specialist and all his client workshops are lively, engaging and fun!
Fiona MackPrincipal Consultant
Fiona has a broad range of cross industry experience, both private and public sector; she is curious about people and about business. Fiona combines a strong commercial background with a passion for helping people connect with their spirit in a professional and personal context. Consistent feedback from clients is that Fiona understands the dynamics and politics of senior executive teams and is highly experienced at coaching all management levels. Fiona has a unique approach to improving performance based on over 15 years commercial experience within the pharmaceutical industry, working in a variety of sales, management, training, coaching and Organisational Development roles. Frederick FladmarkPrincipal Consultant
Frederick helps organisations implement their strategy to meet their executive goals. He does this through utilising principles of intent-based leadership. Many businesses now operate in ever-changing and complex environments, and to cope they must go from being efficient to being adaptable. Before joining the Norwegian Armed Forces in 2010, Frederick worked in London as a Financial Futures Trader.Frederick calls on his experience as a military intelligence officer supporting NATO special forces operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and leading soldiers in extreme arctic winter conditions. Perhaps that’s where he got a taste for swimming in winter fjords!
Mark WhitakerAssociate Director`
Mark is a senior commercial and operations professional with extensive commercial,contractual, operational and major project delivery experience in public and private sectors. Mark specialises in leading large multi-disciplinary teams;delivering complex commercial, operational and technical solutions,in complex and time-dependant environments. His achievements include delivery of the highly successful TfL Surface Transport (ST) 2012 Olympics’ Games Team. Nobody in our team punches more weight when it comes to getting things done in complex environments!
Samantha PearceExecutive Coach
Samantha is a leadership and life coach, with a passion for helping people and organisations to truly thrive. She works with talented people who want to transform their lives, their careers, their companies and their world. As well as being a coach, Samantha has 17 years’ experience as a global HR leader in the pharmaceutical, biotech and engineering industries. Adrian GoodallExecutive and Team Coach
Adrian combines professional coaching and facilitation with his experience in financial markets and as a senior executive. These clients are typically dealing with the opportunities and challenges around leadership, promotion, direction, organisational change and teamwork. Elaine GreenstreetBusiness Manager
Elaine joined Leading Change in September 2010 as PA to Mark Bouch and is now our esteemed Business Manager. She utilises her excellent organisational skills to provide administrative support across the company. Her responsibilities include client account management, coordinating client events, managing Marks diary (a challenging gig) and liaising with our team of associates. Elaine is our unsung hero!
Steve BurtonPrincipal Consultant
Steve is a senior security and operations professional with extensive experience at both strategic, tactical and operational levels of delivery. He has extensive change, programme and operational management experience in complex organisations and political environments. He specialises in in leading large multi-functional teams and the development of strategic solutions to complex organisational challenges. His achievements include delivery of a transport policing structure for London that more than halved crime in a ten year period and the delivery of a transformed and more effective organisation for a major business area of Transport for London.
Frances GoodmanExecutive Coach
Frances is an experienced business coach and popular Leading Change associate. She has over 20 years corporate experience with large, national and international organisations with particular emphasis on individual and team development, communication and group facilitation as well as broadcasting, presenting, and sales and marketing. Frances has a dynamic and independent approach to coaching, driven by a passion and expertise to energise individuals and organisations to achieve previously unattainable levels of success, through fast-track performance coaching. Frances is driven by a personal goal to help clients overcome their challenges and obstacles; to cope with the pressure of high performance, to meet the changing demands of global competition and to outperform their competitors. She has worked with CEOs, senior executive, sportsmen and women, professionals and an MP to improve their personal performance. She has experience working in pharmaceutical, professional sports, banking, broadcasting, telecommunications and retail sectors. She is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming. Michael MoriartyPrincipal Consultant
Michael has 35 years’ experience of strategic planning and its translation to practical implementation, gaining these skills in a military career and subsequently developing them in the commercial sector. He managed a major programme for Eurostar, set up a subsidiary in Afghanistan for a multinational company and has led several turnarounds in the UK for a private equity partnership. The common themes in this varied career have been the need for absolute clarity of intent and the importance of aligning team behaviours with that intent; and for honest, unambiguous communication. Michael now works as a qualified coach to help both leaders and teams achieve that clarity and alignment and to develop the skills to put them into practice successfully and sustainably. Inevitably, this is a process of change for clients, with its attendant stresses. Michael brings understanding, experience and empathy to his role, empowering leaders and teams by helping them to see the active role they can play in the change process.
Julian WathenAssociate Director
Julian has extensive commercial, central government, public sector and military experience at director and board level. His passion is to assist organisations to: position themselves in the market, formulate and execute their strategy; develop propositions into winning tenders, including for large, complex and multi-site and multi-service contracts; and improving team performance across an organisation to deliver their strategic objectives. He is an experienced director with extensive commercial experience grounded at Manchester Business School, the University of Cambridge, and the Defence and Army Staff Colleges. His expertise covers:
- Formulation and execution of commercial strategy.
- Business Development, including prosecuting complex service tenders.
- Performance improvement to realise strategic objectives focused on improving team leader and team performance in a commercial organization.
Michelle YeomanExecutive Coach/HR Consultant
Michelle is an accredited executive coach and former HR Director, with a 20-year HR career in the professional services, consulting engineering and pharmaceutical industries. Chris WilliamsPrincipal Consultant
Chris has over 20 years of project / portfolio management and transformational change leadership experience, gained in the pharmaceutical industry and NHS, combined with formal certification as an MBTI® practitioner. Her passion for people is at the core of her own business (Questae Coaching & Consulting Ltd), where she brings her emotional intelligence, energy and technical expertise to engage minds and inspire change in individuals, teams and organisations. She has a track record of enhancing performance and transforming delivery- whether it be through leading change initiatives; design and facilitation of team effectiveness or strategy definition workshops, or the application of her scientific expertise to optimise processes. Having held senior positions (e.g. R&D Chief of Staff) in complex, global and matrix organisations, Chris has demonstrated that her authentic leadership style enables her to develop trusting relationships at all levels.
